⚔ A proclamation of the Imperial Guard ⚔
The Thesis
Wherein it is set down why the Guard stands again
Hear ye, all who wander the fog. Let it be written in plain ink, that none may later say they were not told.
Of the Guard
A kitten in plate armour. A sword twice her height. A pink bow she refuses to take off.
She was first sung of in the East, where they call her 禁卫咪, the Imperial Guard Kitty. The Empire saw her once and never forgot. Small, soft, and entirely unwilling to kneel.
Of Those Who Came Before
Others raised her banner. They raised it in haste and dropped it in the mud: no lore, no craft, no keep to defend. Gone by the next dawn.
The Guard was never the weakness.
The stewards were.
Of Why We Stand Again
The tale is too good to leave buried, and it has never once been told properly. We do not come to borrow her for a day. We come to do it right.
Of What Shall Follow
An empire is a whole world.
- Sieges
- Oaths
- Banners
- Rival houses
- Usurpers
- Dragons
- Feasts
- Triumphs
Every day of the Empire is a page not yet written. The Forge below already arms any who ask. This tale does not run dry.
Of the Ranks
A guard is not raised by shouting. It is built by a mark you wear, words you repeat, and work you do when no one is counting.
- Wear the steel.
- Keep the bow.
- Bring one more to the ranks.
In fog we stand. In steel we rise.
